The Open Mind and The Open Mind Archive were originally sourced from the same database of over 1500 different episode posts. The client wanted to separate these projects into an archive of the work of Richard Heffner as well as a site for the current show, hosted by Alexander Heffner. The archive featured advanced sorting tools powered by AJAX and jQuery for sorting by guest or topic, as well as Google Custom Search for more complex queries. The current show site featured a much smaller set of episodes, and quickly ties the two iterations of the show together.
